If you don't play volleyball or even you are not a volleyball expert then also you should watch this anime i do not do this which ever sports does the sports anime based on it is not compulsory that you are an expert on that sport this is also a normal shounen anime with normal story everything you need in a normal anime is there okay lets talk about haikyuu the name haikyuu is very short but looks very cool to me the name haikyuu means volleyball in japan i tell how listen carefully its very important there are three scripts in japan hiragana, kanji and k atakana these words are those if u have watched any japanese vlogs or learning video so you might have listen to them hiragana script is those script which is used is used by japan to pronounce their original language mean if you are from japan and i am also from japan can communicate using hiragana writing system where katakana script is that script which is used for foreign language pronunciation means if i am from japan and you are from korea,china or other country so we will use katakana script for pronunciation and kanji is basically chinese symbol japanese use this writing system to find meaning and that meaning is related to orign of japan it is no related to pronunciation so yeah haikyuu means volleyball in kanji but generally volleyball is called volleyball in japan that's why this series name is not volleyball because in kanji haikyuu means volleyball
If you follow anime or if you follow anime groups you must have heard this anime name not watched but heard the name haiky uu some people thinks that the jersey looks like basket ball actually this is not about basket ball it is about volleyball now lets talk about the plot.
The plot is our main character shoyo hinata is in highschool and he loves volley ball but his height is very short and volley ball is very difficult for people with small height while playing from junior player hinata cannot give victory to his team because his team was very weak.The person behind the failure of the team was kageyama who was setter from another team setter is volleyball position you will come to know about it in anime after losing the match hinata was upset then he watch a match in tv in which a player with his height was playing volley ball in stadium and he was playing very well by seeing that hinata was happy that height is not important in volleyball and when he goes to high school he take admission in karasuno high school where his volleyball team was very powerful before but not now but then after joining the team hinata gets a shock that kageyama who was the culprit behind the hinata's failure have also taken admission in karasuna high school and they have to play in the same team now let's talk about animation.
This is series has the best animation in sports genre i have'nt experience this kind of animation in sports anime if i have i will definitely make video on it guys the company who animated haikyuu is production ig where ig means itsumo and genki it is a japanese word which mean always happy but the full name is production always happy its cool right let's talk about their popular works. their biggest popular is haikyuu itself and their other work are kuroko no basket , diamond no ace , psycho pass, ghost in a shell these anime are animated by ig production if we talk about animation so haikyuu animation is top notch compare to any other sports anime this series animation some time a simple thing example spike a ball to normal move makes it a great experience haikyuu is very realistic in sports portrayal and character animation is also great but the animation throughout the show is consistent currently haikyuu has 4 season.
Season 4 part 1 have released but part 2 was going to release this year but due to corona the release has been postponed due to corona there are many anime which has postponed i have told in promised neverland review that season 2 will come this year and there are so many anime which are postponed due to corona i think demon slayer movie will be postponed which was coming this year everything is getting postponed it is a very dangerous virus n ow let's talk about characters in my opinion haikyuu's strongest point is characters haikyuu main cast is very big and story moving forward and new character introduced haikyuu give them their personality sometime you will find yourself taking side of the opposite character our main character hinata and his rival kageyama mutual growth is very good and constantly evolves.
How they train themselves to get better have it's own fun kara suno high school cast is very good and the interaction between character make is fun to watch means they challenge each other the opposite team member development is also good now let's talk about soundtrack. Soundtrack is also good and ost of this anime this is shown as a person is surfing and whenever he surfs background music plays these things are small but are noticible when you will watch you will experience the people who watched haikyuu they are familiar with this line which character i am talking about in which background music plays when he surfs
if i describe this anime in one word so i will say brilliant anime if you believe in my recommendation then go and watch haikyuu from anywhere you want to watch just watch it and download only 4 are there and yeah your normal question dub or sub in which you are comfortable i haven't experienced seasons dub but the anime fans will watch in sub i will also recommend you to watch in sub but if you are not comfortable in sub so watch dub simple.
Now let's talk about rating so final conclusion is you have to watch this anime it is extremely recommended to watch this anime its a sports masterpiece you have to watch it if i talk about rating i told you animation will get 9 music will also get nine and story will get 9 so overall rating is 9 out or 10.
